How I think
point of view
First and foremost, I believe there is no replacement for human creativity.
The best ideas come from people, often in unexpected, collaborative, and fleeting ways. If you know me, you know I love art & design, and I also have a passion for experimentation and iteration (just ask me how many consumer products I’ve tried & recommended to friends). The best ideas — the things that I love the most — come from people and human experiences.
Preserving that creativity, and elevating human talent and judgment, is the biggest reason I wanted to get into this area of work.
AI amplifies what you already know how to do.
That's why the best AI work still depends on expertise and judgment. These tools open doors and provide incredible possibilities. But by themselves, they can’t produce a final output that feels real, feels human, and stands out in all the noise.
the point
The goal is not to use AI everywhere. The goal is to understand exactly where it belongs and how it can support the work without making it generic.
a note on AI usage
I’ll always strive to share exactly when and how I used AI tools in my process, both for transparency and learning.
I acknowledge that the development of this technology still has a long way to go when it comes to environmental impact, ingrained biases, and the spread of fake, AI-generated content. I’ll incorporate those considerations into my work wherever possible.

sources and inspiration
I built this site from concept to deployment using a combination of Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, and Figma.
The ASCII designs were generated with Claude and Claude Code, with inspiration and elements from ascii.co.uk and asciiart.eu.
The color palette was inspired by the fantastic work of Lauren Wager / Color Collective.
Please feel free to reach out to lucie@hijinx.studio if you have questions about the site, or anything you see here.
I can turn experiments, subscriptions, and half-built workflows into something you can actually use.
